On Thursday, February 18, 2021, Vidalia Upper students will take pictures. Students will wear their uniforms for their pictures. All students will take pictures on this day.
On Friday, February 19, 2021, Vidalia Upper Virtual students will have the opportunity to take their school pictures from 8:30 to 10:00. Parents can drive through the car line and a staff member will escort the student into the gym and back to their car. Students will wear their uniforms for their pictures. We hope to see you there!
We are so excited to host a Writer’s Workshop for students (grades 3-5) of Vidalia Upper Elementary!
There are two workshop dates to choose from. One will be held Saturday, February 20th and one will be held Saturday, March 6th. The times will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on each day. These workshops are open to all VUE students, both Hybrid and Virtual who would like to attend.
Attention all Virtual students!! If you are interested in apply for Concordia Parish Academy of Math, Science and Technology Magnet Program (CPA) please stop by the office at Vidalia Upper for an application. All applications must be returned to the Concordia Parish School Board By February 26th.
Attention all Virtual 5th Graders! If you would like to participate in this year's DARE program, please log into your google classroom and look for the DARE Pre-test and submit your answer back to your teacher. We are looking forward to learning so much in DARE this year. If you do not see the DARE pre-test, please email your name and teacher's name to vue@cpsbla.us

1st 9 weeks Report Cards will be sent home with students on Thursday, October 22nd. Report Cards of Virtual students will be mailed. Please make sure that you call the school office to verify your mailing address.
Vidalia Upper is asking the community for donations for cases of bottled water. Donations can be dropped off at the front office at the school. Please ring the doorbell for assistance. Thank you for supporting VUE!
On Oct 9th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 1:30pm. Virtual students who will be returning to school can Drop-Off back to school items.. Drop-off will be in the school gym. Mask will be required and temperatures will be checked. Here is a list of items that need to be returned to school with returning Virtual Students.
Here you will find a Supply List for 2020-2021 for 3rd,4th and 5th Grade students. If you have any questions about the list, please reach out to your child's teacher.
If your child is a hybrid student and wishes to remain a hybrid student, you DO NOT need to complete this form. If your child is virtual and wishes to remain a virtual student, you DO NOT need to complete this form. Only complete this form if you wish to change your child from virtual to hybrid or from hybrid to virtual. Please complete the form by September 30, 2020. Each school has its own survey. If you have children that go to multiple schools, you will need to complete the survey for that particular school your child attends.
Online Diagnostic Testing has begun for all VUE students whether they are hybrid or virtual. All students are required to take and complete test for ELA and Math. There are 3 sessions for ELA and 3 sessions in Math. A link is posted on the Concordia Parish School Board website for all virutal students to access with their usernames and passwords that was provided to all virtual students during our virtual pick up days and during our Virtual Technology workshop for parents. Our Virutal students will have the option to return to school on Wednesday, Oct 14, 2020. Parents will be notifed, prior to virtual students returning, of a date and time that they can return virtual student's Chromebook, workbooks and any other materials students received to work at home. On Monday, September 14, 2020, the CPSB approved that on Monday, September 21, 2020, all Hybrid students will return to school on 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday. Fridays will remain a day for teacher PD, training, student remediation, and parent conferences. Thank you for your understanding. On Monday, September 14th, 2020, the Concordia Parish School Board voted to send all Hybrid A and Hybrid B students ONLY back to school. Students will return on Monday, September 21st. All students will be required to wear a mask, come to school in full school uniform and all students will get their temperatures check as they exit the bus and their vehicles. Vidalia Upper students can bring their own bottle or container of water. All normal school rules will be followed.

On Tuesday, August 18th chrome books will be issued to our virtual students in grades third, fourth and fifth. The available times for pick up are from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
